The End of History—Messiah Conspiracy

Chapter 1—How It All Began

“This most beautiful system of the sun, planets, and comets, could only proceed from the counsel and dominion of an intelligent and powerful Being. And if the fixed stars are the centres of other like systems, these, being formed by the like wise counsel, must be all subject to the dominion of One....”1

Sir Isaac Newton, famed seventeenth century scientist

“Nature does exhibit remarkable coincidences and these do warrant some explanation.” “One would have to conclude either that the features of the universe invoked in support of the anthropic principle are only coincidences, or that the universe was indeed tailor-made for life. I will leave it to the theologians to ascertain the identity of the tailor.”2 Bernard Carr and Martin Rees, astronomers

“When confronted with the order and beauty of the universe and the strange coincidences of nature, it’s very tempting to take the leap of faith from science into religion. I am sure many physicists want to—I only wish they would admit it.”

Tony Rothman, theoretical physicist

“The exquisite order displayed by our scientific understanding of the physical world calls for the divine.” Vera Kistiakowsky, Association of Women in Science

“Astronomy leads us to a universe which has an underlying (one might say ‘supernatural’) plan.” Arno Penzias, Nobel Prize-winner

who discovered cosmic background radiation

“One cannot be exposed to the law and order of the universe without concluding that there must be design and purpose behind it all....They (evolutionists) challenge science to prove the existence of God. But must we really light a candle to see the sun?”3 Dr. Wernher von Braun, the leading scientist who put us on the moon

“Thousands of fortune tellers, astrologers, demon possessed mediums, who ask the dead, make a fine living throughout Christendom and profit greatly by the desire of thousands to know a little about the future. And here in the Bible God has uncovered the future, but few of His people pay any attention to it.”

Arno Gaebelein (see p. 19 to see what he means)

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

You may be asking, “In a book which is mainly about the future, why do we begin with the ancient past?” We need to know how we reached the present and where we will be going in the future, as one great Bible teacher has beautifully said: “...the account that we are investigating here is found in the record of the ancient Hebrew Scriptures. I believe that this account has proved to be the most consistent explanation....To understand what is happening today and in the near future, we must reach back into these ancient documents and look into events that occurred before man came into existence. The account of how an exalted supernatural being of incredible beauty, power, and intelligence named Lucifer came to be Satan is stranger than fiction....The key to understanding man’s purpose and destiny is related to the pre-history conflict that began with Lucifer’s revolt against God.”4

OUR CREATION 6000 YEARS AGO IN JUST SIX DAYS?
AFTER THE CHAOS OF TOHU-VA-VOHU

Many scoff at the biblical account of how the world began; however, the Bible does not really make such a simple claim—not to those of us who know5 the original Hebrew.6 In fact, there are two words in Hebrew for creation: bara (ar:°B); and asah (hcÉ=[).7 The first means to create something out of nothing—the true meaning of creation! However, the second means to create something from something else, in fact, to reconstruct something already in existence. There is also a third Hebrew word, which is located between creation and reconstruction; tohu-va-vohu (Whbo<eth>y´w: WÙhtoÙ).
“Tohu-va-what?” you ask. This word means “chaos”; something beautiful and perfect that became obliterated into unorganized chaos. An Israeli friend told me the best way to express this word in modern language
is “tossed salad.”

Diagram courtesy of Clarence Larkin Estate.

In our English Bibles the word tohu-va-vohu is translated as “without form and void.” So what the Bible is really telling us is that: “God created the earth and it was good....” in Genesis 1:1,8 and in Genesis 1:2, that it became tohu-va-vohu, which is the Hebrew word for shapeless and void in form, in other words, chaotic.
We can clearly see that in the interval between the two biblical verses, a rebellion took place and that this first creation, bara, was original and occurred before the asah (a second creation described later in the book of Genesis). Asah
9 means to construct something from material already made, or rather, to reconstruct. The famous Rabbi Nachman remarked of bara: “...that there is no other word to express production out of nothing.”10 Thus we believe that when Genesis 1:1 tells us that the original creation11 took place in the hands of God, it was millions of years ago, and in fact, did not include man12 or the modern life we have on earth today, but rather dinosaurs, mammoths, and other primitive animals.

LUCIFER’S REBELLION AND TRANSFORMATION
TO SATAN WAS AFTER THE ORIGINAL
BUT BEFORE THE SIX-DAY CREATION

After the original creation, there was a satanic rebellion led by God’s mightiest angelic being, Lucifer13 (in Hebrew, rj'vÉ=A@B, or ben Shahar, means “son of the dawn”). Lucifer decided to rebel and be “like God.” The Lord, speaking to Job, revealed that prior to Lucifer’s rebellion, which transformed14 him into the evil creature known to us as Satan, there was a time when all angelic beings were in a state of joy after the creation of the earth. These beings were known in Hebrew as Bené Elohim or “sons of God,” and also as “morning stars.”
The Scriptures record God’s question to Job: “Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding....When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy?” (Job 38:4, 7 NASB).
The Hebrew prophets Ezekiel and Isaiah describe Satan’s nature in eons past. Ezekiel 28 tells us of his original unfallen state: “...‘Thus says the Lord God, ‘You had the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The ruby, the topaz, and the diamond; The beryl, the onyx, and the jasper; The lapis lazuli, the turquoise, and the emerald; And the gold, the workmanship of your settings and sockets, Was in you. On the day that you were created They were prepared. You were the anointed cherub who covers, And I placed you there. You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked in the midst of the stones of fire. You were blameless in your ways From the day you were created, Until unrighteousness was found in you’ ” (Ezek. 28:12-15 NASB).
Isaiah 14 reveals Satan’s five I wills—his lofty boasts of triumph over God, his creator: “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High” (Isa. 14:12-14, KJV; bold mine).
We believe that once Lucifer, who was perfect in his ways from the day of his creation,
15 exercised his free will to attempt a conquest of God, the “Big Bang” (excuse the expression) took place. Lucifer led one-third of the angelic realm into rebellion against God. This rebellion resulted in tohu-va-vohu—chaos. Once this occurred, God exiled these fallen creatures from Himself. Jesus, speaking of this event which He witnessed prior to His physical birth into humanity, testified: “...‘I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven’ ” (Luke 10:18 KJV).

TRULY, MODERN MAN WAS CREATED 6000 YEARS AGO IN THE SIX DAYS OF THE ASAH RECONSTRUCTION, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE HEBREW SCRIPTURES

Revelation 12:3-4 maintains that Satan led a rebellion in which one-third of God’s angelic realm were drawn over to his side. Once
the rebellion was defeated and they were banned from His presence, God decided to create man (a creature out of the soil of the earth),
16 to whom He would give all that Satan had tried to steal.
The Bible says one day we will have bodies “like unto his glorious body”
17 (Phil. 3:21; Ps. 17:15).18 These verses speak of the time when the Messiah returns and gives us our new bodies (see our chapter 29, “After the Messiah Arrives and Ends the War—Paradise!” and chapter 30, “New Heavens and a New Earth”).
The popular Christian writer, Hal Lindsey, using the New Testament books of Hebrews and Corinthians, has eloquently remarked concerning our future that: “...God wanted to elevate man above the angelic realm and to fellowship with Him.
In the Book of Hebrews God shows that man will rule the world to come; angels will actually be under man’s rule: ‘For He did not subject to angels the world to come, concerning which we are speaking. But one has testified somewhere, saying, ‘What is man that Thou rememberest him? Or the son of man, that Thou art concerned about him? Thou hast made him for a little while lower than the angels; Thou hast crowned him with glory and honor, and hast appointed him over the works of Thy hands; Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet’ ’ (Hebrews 2:5-8).
The Apostle Paul says the same thing in 1 Corinthians 6:3: ‘Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, matters of this life?’ ”
19
Thus, after the original creation, after the chaos, there was an asah. This word in Hebrew, as we have noted, means to “reconstruct.” We believe God reconstructed the earth after the original creation of dinosaurs and other ancient creatures, some of which may have resembled the shape of man as chimpanzees and gorillas do today. Most, if not all fossils attributed to man prior to this date, have been proven either to be fakes, such as England’s Piltdown Man, or mistakes.
20 For example, one Prosthennops find was believed to be an ape-man until 1922, when “he” was discovered to be the tooth of a pig.

MODERN CREATION AND MAN IN
JUST SIX DAYS APPROXIMATELY 6000
YEARS AGO! GOD ANTICIPATED OUR FALL

The chief creature in the creative reconstruction of earthbound life was unlike anything hitherto created by God. It was man, the only one to be made in the image of his creator, with mind, free will, emotion, and intellect.
21 Thus man was made to have a relationship with his Creator and he did. However, our great, great, great...grandparents were deceived at one point by, you guessed it, Satan himself.
Satan, knowing man was made to replace him, will always hate mankind, no matter how loyal a man may be to him (as in witchcraft, etc.), and in the end, will destroy all who serve him. Satan succeeded in causing man to rebel (Gen. 3), which resulted in man also becoming estranged from God, as Satan had been. He thought, “Now I’ve got him! If God forgives him, then God will also have to forgive me!” However, God knew man would fall temporarily because of the gift of free will. Thus He launched His ultimate plan, “Operation Redemption,” through the Messiah. Redemption means to buy back.
22 Ransom is the greater part of its meaning. Jesus once said: “For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45 KJV). Also, the
Hebrew prophet Isaiah predicted (circa 700 BC) of the Messiah: “...he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken....Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him....by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many....” (Isa. 53:8-11 KJV).

SOLUTION—GOD’S KINSMAN REDEEMER,
THROUGH OPERATION MESSIAH!

The Messiah was to be God’s avenue for this redemption. In order for redemption to take place, it would have to be accomplished through a party who was not guilty, as man had become, and who was not invulnerable to death, as God is. It had to be someone who was between us. Hal Lindsey, my favorite Bible teacher, put it in these words: “...the redeemer had to be ‘next of kin’ to the human race. Hebrews 2:14, 15 explains why this was so: ‘Since then the children [mankind] share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same [flesh and blood], that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil; and might deliver those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.’
You see, the price of redemption for man has always been the shed blood of an innocent substitute. Moses taught in the Law, ‘Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin’ (Hebrews 9:22). However, the blood of animals could never take the sin away; it only atoned for, or covered it, temporarily until God provided a complete remission of sins through His ultimate sacrifice of Jesus (Hebrews 10:11-14).
But, since the redemption price had to be the shed blood of an innocent sacrifice, the redeemer had to be someone with blood in his veins who could actually experience death. In other words, a man, but one who was completely innocent of any sins.
That’s why we read about Christ’s death in 1 Peter 1:19, that it accomplished redemption ‘with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.’ ”
23
Thus Genesis 3:15 was known within ancient Judaism and is still recognized among Evangelical Christians as the first Messianic prophecy: “...I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel” (KJV).

OLD TESTAMENT SCRIPTURE TRANSLATION

“And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all thy days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”

Genesis 3:14-15, KJV25

ANCIENT RABBINICAL COMMENTARY

“R. Tanhuma said in the name of Samuel Kozith: [She hinted at] that seed which would arise from another source, viz. the king Messiah.”

Midrash Rabbah XXIII 5-6

NEW TESTAMENT RECORDED 65 AD

“...Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman, being deceived, was in the transgression. Notwithstanding, she shall be saved in childbearing....”26 I Timothy 2:13-15 KJV27

MODERN RABBINIC COMMENT/REFUTATION

“From this verse Christian missionary theologians argue that the Messiah is to be born of the seed of a woman without a man’s intervention. Yet there is absolutely no proof to assume that this verse is messianic or that the Messiah is to be born in a supernatural way. The Christian missionary claim of a direct and exclusive reference to Jesus is exegetically untenable. The phrase ‘her seed’ has nothing to do with the determination of the Messiah’s lineage....‘Her seed’ simply means her descendants....the Christian missionary interpretation of Genesis 3:15 is yet another Christological dream....”

The Jew and the Christian Missionary, by Gerald Sigal, pp. 3-5; © 1981

AUTHOR’S COMMENT—EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN POSITION

It is quite obvious from this ancient rabbinical commentary that there was a seed, expected and predicted (Gen. 3:15; 4:25),28 which was to be the Messiah of triumph. Thus the view of the majority of modern rabbis, voiced by Mr. Sigal under the guidance of Rabbi Bronznick, claiming that the seed of Genesis 3:15 is not Messianic, is dishonest and untrue when set in the framework of what was once believed by the rabbis of ancient Judaism.

Philip Moore

The essence of the prophecy is that the Messiah’s heel would be bruised.29 Jesus’ heels were bruised when the Romans drove nails into His feet during the crucifixion. But as a result of His death, His innocence paid the penalty of Adam’s original sin in the Garden, which was the beginning and root30 that made all mankind, through the centuries until now, sin. This is the evil inclination, yetzer hara, of which Judaism teaches.
Original sin, which is denounced by modern Judaism, was once a chief tenet of ancient Judaism in keeping with the Bible. It is only because some modernists do not want an evident reason to show our need for a suffering Messiah to die for the sins of the world, that the whole idea of “original sin” is denied. Here is the proof:

OLD TESTAMENT SCRIPTURE TRANSLATION

“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil....And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living. Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them. And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims,[31] and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.”

Genesis 2:7-9; 3:17-24 KJV

ANCIENT RABBINICAL COMMENTARY

“...Adam whom I charged with one commandment which he was to perform and live and endure for ever’; as it says, Behold, the man was as one of us (Gen. iii, 22). Similarly, And God created man in His own image (ib. I, 27), that is to say, that he should live and endure like Himself. Yet [says God] he corrupted his deeds and nullified My decree. For he ate of the tree, and I said to him: For dust thou art (ib. iii, 19)....you have ruined yourselves like Adam, and so, ‘Indeed, ye shall die like Adam.’ 32 Midrash Rabbah XXIII 5-6

“...The Tora was before the Holy One, blessed be He, containing six hundred thousand letters, in disarray. And when Adam the first man sinned, [God] arranged the letters into words, such as, When a man dieth in the tent (Num. 19:14), or the section about inheritance, and the section about levirate, and many more the like. For had Adam not sinned, the letters would have arranged themselves into other words. Therefore, in the Future to Come, when the sin of Adam will have been forgiven, the words will return to their primordial state, and the very Tora of Moses will contain the full complement of letters, neither fewer nor more, arranged into other words, as it would have been had Adam not sinned.”33

Midrash Talpiyot, 58a

“R. Pinhas said: ‘In the future time to come, the Holy One, blessed be He, will render the bodies of the pious beautiful like the beauty of Adam the first man when he entered the Garden of Eden.’ ”34

Zohar 1:113b, Midrash haNe’elam

NEW TESTAMENT RECORDED 96 AD

“And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bore twelve kinds of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and his servants shall serve him....”

Revelation 22:1-3 KJV35

MODERN RABBINIC COMMENT/REFUTATION

“Judaism rejects these doctrines. Man was mortal from the first, and death did not enter the world through the transgression of Eve....There is no loss of the Godlikeness of man, nor of man’s ability to do right in the eyes of God; and no such loss has been transmitted to his latest descendants....Judaism preaches the Rise of man; and instead of Original Sin, it stresses Original Virtue....”36

Chief Rabbi J. H. Hertz

AUTHOR’S COMMENT—EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN POSITION

The ancient rabbinical commentaries we quoted clearly support the New Testament remedy of a future need to heal the nations of the world in order to reverse the ruin Adam brought upon the race. Rabbi Hertz denied original sin and claimed that Judaism believes in “original virtue.” This is deceptive! Obviously, this rabbi lived in a fantasy world because the Old Testament, historic records, ancient rabbinical commentaries and New Testament all agree that man got sick and will one day get well! Look around you, see how much theft, murder, and cruelty tyrants have caused throughout history. The murder of six million Jews by Hitler and the murder of over fifty million innocent Chinese by Mao, along with the tens of thousands of murders and thefts occurring every day on our streets, illustrates man is not presently what he was created to be! Adam, when he failed God’s test of obedience in the Garden, marred the spirit that God breathed into him (Gen. 2:7). That which the Bible says was made in God’s image (Gen. 1:27), was now changed (Gen. 3), although it would be a temporary change; that change we know as original sin. Fallen man transmitted this evil desire like any other genetically transmitted disease, in his desire to control and manipulate others for his own selfish purposes. The hundreds of wars we have had throughout history are evidence that something terrible has happened to our race. If later rabbis (after the Coming of Jesus) are going to be successful in diminishing the Hebrew Bible’s concept of the Messiah suffering for the sins of the Jewish people and ultimately the nations, they must destroy the reason for the Coming of the Messiah, and that reason is sin—original sin. This is why original sin, which was openly believed within Judaism until Jesus, is so vigorously contested by modern rabbis. You see, if original sin, the sin nature the Jewish Bible says all people possess (Ps. 53; Ecc. 7:20) really exists, you must have a redemption remedy for it—Jesus. And to eliminate the Messianic claim of Jesus’ power to redeem, you must first eliminate the requirement for such redemption and that is the doctrine of original sin.

GOD CREATED A VESSEL, ENTERED IT, AND TOOK
HIS OWN PENALTY FOR US THROUGH THAT VESSEL—
MESSIAH FORESHADOWED IN THE PASSOVER LAMB

At this point, for all of us who believe that the Messiah37 took the rap for us and bought us out of the trouble our great...grandmother and grandfather got us into, we can be sure of the olam haba (in Hebrew, “the world to come”). One day this paradise will be realized, and presently we will have peace of mind in the knowledge that things do not just happen by accident and that we all do, in fact, have a very real and eternal future (see our chapter 29, “After the Messiah Arrives and Ends the War—Paradise!” and chapter 30, “New Heavens and a New Earth”).
However, the price God paid for us to receive this redemption (salvation from what befell Adam and was transferred to us genetically from generation to generation) is unfathomable. God, as perfect and mighty as He is, actually incarnated Himself into one of the descendants of Adam, whom He had created, and then took the penalty due us, while He Himself was innocent. He did this so He could, in the end, justify us before His law and His perfect standards for all the times we have and will fall short!
Pointing to this future (from the standpoint of Genesis 3:15, written about 4000 years ago) sacrificial redemption on the Messiah’s part, was the Passover, instituted 3500 years ago within Hebrew antiquity, in which an innocent lamb’s blood was placed over the doorposts of the Jews while they were in Egypt. Those who did this would be spared the consequence of the death angel when he “passed over,” which was the death of the first-born son. (Diagram courtesy of Clarence Larkin Estate.)

THE PRINCE OF THE POWER OF THE AIR

Until the Messiah returns to redeem the world physically, the earth in the natural sense (apart from those who have received Jesus spiritually into their hearts) is under a title deed of ownership. This deed once belonged to Adam but was forfeit to Satan at the time of Adam’s fall. This is why Satan said to Jesus in the Gospel of Luke concerning “all the kingdoms of the world”: “...All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine” (Luke 4:6-7 KJV).
The New Testament calls Satan “the prince of the power of the air”
38 (Eph. 2:2 KJV). This is why there has been so much evil throughout history and in the present natural world. The Hebrew prophet Jeremiah affirms this in the Old Testament portion of the
Bible, to which most Orthodox Jews still lay claim. “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jer. 17:9 KJV; bold mine). Thus, only when the Messiah returns will Satan be incapacitated and the earth’s full beauty realized. This will be the time when Jesus’ wounded heel truly crushes Satan’s ugly head, as foretold so long ago in Genesis 3:15.

In the Garden of Eden, Satan obtained the title deed to the earth
through the fall of Adam. One day it will be given back to us, when Jesus returns.

OLD TESTAMENT SCRIPTURE TRANSLATION

“And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die....Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.”

Genesis 2:15-17; Psalms 51:5 KJV

ANCIENT RABBINICAL COMMENTARY

“...‘These are the generations of the heaven and the earth’ (Gen. ii, 4) and Now these are the generations of Perez (Ruth iv, 18)—the word ‘toledoth’ whenever it occurs in the Bible is spelt defectively, and for a very significant reason. Thus the word is spelt fully [with a waw] in the case of ‘These are the generations of the heaven and the earth’, because when God created His world, there was no Angel of Death in the world, and on this account is it spelt fully; but as soon as Adam and Eve sinned, God made defective all the ‘toledoth’ mentioned in the Bible. But when Perez arose, his ‘generations’ were spelt fully again, because from him Messiah would arise, and in his days God would cause death to be swallowed up, as it says, He will swallow up death for ever (Isa. xxv, 8); on this account is the ‘toledoth’ of ‘The heaven and the earth’ and of Perez spelt fully.”39

Midrash Rabbah XXX. 3

NEW TESTAMENT RECORDED 60 AD

“When Adam sinned, sin entered the entire human race. His sin spread death throughout all the world, so everything began to grow old and die, for all sinned. [We know that it was Adam’s sin that caused this] because although, of course, people were sinning from the time of Adam until Moses, God did not in those days judge them guilty of death for breaking his laws—because he had not yet given his laws to them, nor told them what he wanted them to do. So when their bodies died it was not for their own sins since they themselves had never disobeyed God’s special law against eating the forbidden fruit, as Adam had. What a contrast between Adam and Christ who was yet to come! And what a difference between man’s sin and God’s forgiveness! For this one man, Adam, brought death to many through his sin. But this one man, Jesus Christ, brought forgiveness to many through God’s mercy. Adam’s one sin brought the penalty of death to many, while Christ freely takes away many sins and gives glorious life instead. The sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to be king over all, but all who will take God’s gift of forgiveness and acquittal are kings of life....”

Romans 5:12-17 The Living Bible

MODERN RABBINIC COMMENT/REFUTATION

“Christian missionaries maintain that because of the sin of Adam, humanity has a sinful nature. By his disobeying God and eating of the Tree of Knowledge, Adam brought hereditary sin into the world, tainting all his descendants with what is called Original Sin. Thus, man is a sinner from birth, separated spiritually from a holy God. Consequently, man has to be saved from sin and reconciled to God....First and foremost, God, and no one else, provides the means of reconciliation and fellowship...The missionary’s question, ‘Are you saved?’ is thus a question having no basis in the Hebrew Scriptures. Its origin lies in the New Testament and has no bearing on the spiritual life of the Jew.”

AUTHOR’S COMMENT—EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN POSITION

“Are you saved?” most certainly does have a place in the spiritual life of the Jew. Mr. Sigal should educate himself and realize that the origin of original sin is not the New Testament but is also clearly seen in the Jewish commentary, Midrash Rabbah, as we have quoted. Regarding his comment as to whether the question, “Are you saved?” has its basis in the New Testament and has no bearing on the Jews, we ask you to see our Vol. II, chapter 25, “Saved, Saved from What?” Here you will discover how judgments have befallen the Jewish people many times on one particular day, the ninth of Av, the odds of which amount to hundreds of billions to one! You will see that God’s judgment, from which we need to be saved, is predicted to occur shortly for those who are not ready! In our Vol. II, chapter 25, we also cover Isaac Newton’s comments on a Protestant nation aiding in Israel’s formation and the little known fact that Hyam Salomon (a Jew) saved the U.S. from complete financial ruin. Philip Moore

ENLIGHTENED ORTHODOX JEWISH FINDING

Israeli professor Dr. Flusser, of Jerusalem, ties the Jewishness of the son of man, the spirit of God and original sin together in the Messiah. This brilliant individual flattens the claims of many contemporary rabbis who deny the Jewishness of a divine Messiah who paid for our original sin. He brings to light: “The image of this Bar Enash is fascinating and unique. It is the figure of an almost superhuman judge, who is to sit on the throne of God and to separate the righteous from the wicked. He is to deliver the righteous to everlasting life and the wicked to everlasting punishment. There are hints of Bar Enash even in the sayings of the Sages. When Rabbi Akiva hinted at this figure, the other Sages rejected his view and advised him to go and occupy himself with the study of the Law, since the Messiah will be human, not an angel. The expression ‘Son of Man’ (Hebrew: Ben Adam) connects this figure with Adam, the first man. In one of the Jewish Apocrypha (The Testament of Abraham), this expression is interpreted literally as the son of the Biblical Adam and is identified with Abel, the brother of Cain, who will be the judge at the end of days. This connection between the Messiah and the Biblical Adam can also be found in the literature of the Sages: according to Reish Lakish, the spirit of the Messiah is identical with the breath of life which God breathed into Adam’s nostrils. It is identified, on the one hand, with the spirit of God which moved upon the face of the waters, and on the other hand, with the spirit of God mentioned in Isaiah 11:2, which God will instill within the Messiah. In the writings of Paul, it appears that the spirit upon the waters is the spirit of Adam and also the spirit of the Messiah. The connection between the Messiah and Adam was accepted by Christanity, and brought about the further connection between Original Sin, the First Man, and the Last Man, who is Jesus the Christ. The Last Man atones for the sin of the First Man....”40

David Flusser, Ph.D.

“Thousands of fortune tellers, astrologers, demon possessed mediums, who ask the dead, make a fine living throughout Christendom and profit greatly by the desire of thousands to know a little about the future. And here in the Bible God has uncovered the future, but few of His people pay any attention to it.”41

GOD’S SUPERNATURAL PROTECTION—OUR REFUGE

Meanwhile, our only true protection from the evil of Satan, who wishes to harm and destroy us, is in the refuge of Jesus’ sacrifice. Daily, you can call on His protection silently to yourself—you will discover the hidden world of God’s supernatural safety. This is the greatest power anyone can possess! Jesus tells those who believe in Him: “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven”42 (Luke 10:19-20 KJV).

FALSE PROPHECY EQUALS RAW
DEMONIC SATANIC SORCERY

When we speak of Satan’s power and shielding ourselves from his attempts to destroy us, we want to emphasize that we are not speaking of an animated cartoon character with horns and a pointed tail, but rather a very real force who crushes all those who fall his way. This creature, who was once Lucifer and presently exists in the transformed composition of Satan, can be seen in the supernatural, occult and witchcraft of today. For example, while our Bible is the only book which contains prophecies that always come to true fulfillment, there are other books whose prophecies do not—other “prophets” like Jeane Dixon,43 Nostradamus, and various astrologers and fortune tellers who are never one hundred percent accurate!
The Bible says if a prophet is not one hundred percent correct in his prophecies, then he is not from God (Deut. 18:22), and if he is not from God, the Scriptures state that he is to be killed (Deut. 18:20). Quite a
severe prescription for the ancient false prophet! Suffice it to say that these soothsayers have many modern counterparts who also claim to receive revelations, visions and prophecies from supernatural sources. Here, we must emphasize that they are not receiving their truths from the source of God’s supernatural. We know this because the Bible states that if a prophet is not one hundred percent accurate in the law of Moses (Deut. 18:22), then he is not a prophet from God: “...How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken?” (Deut. 18:21 KJV).
The penalty in ancient Israel for false prophecy was death by stoning (Deut. 13:1-10); seemingly harsh, but demanded as punishment and deterrent! Why? Obviously, their sources were supernatural—but not God’s supernatural. That leaves only one other option, according to the Bible, and that is raw demonic satanic sorcery. Even though such “prophets” may claim God as their inspiration, we know that He is not!

THE ISSUE OF PROPHECY—HOLY SCRIPTURES
VERSUS THE ASTROLOGER’S ASTROLOGY

Examples of “prophets” who have failed Moses’ test of one hundred percent accuracy, thus placing themselves outside the Bible’s criterion of a true prophet of God, are Jeane Dixon and Michel de Notredame. In her book, The Call to Glory, Dixon clearly claims: “...God has given me a gift of prophecy....”
44 She explains how she receives her prophecies from God: “I empty my mind in order that I may be filled with the Spirit of God. Finally, during my meditations, when my spirit is calm and He is ready, God talks to me. I know then, beyond all doubt, that the channel is coming directly to me from the Divine, the Lord our God, because I feel it and sense it. I know it is not the channel of Satan, because his channel I have felt and sensed too; and I definitely know the difference.”45

DIXON’S SOURCE—DEMONIC46 DIVINATION

God commanded through Moses in the Bible: “There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer....” (Deut. 18:10 NASB).

***

Hal Lindsey, in his book, Satan is Alive and Well on Planet Earth, has noted regarding divination: “The most amazing display of divination is called ‘inspirational divination’ in which the medium is given direct communication from demons of events that could not have been known by normal means. In this form of divination, the medium is conscious of contact with real spirit beings, though erroneously thinking that it is the Spirit of God....If a person receives accurate secret knowledge which cannot be attributed to fakery, then there are only two possible sources. The person is either a prophet of God and receiving revelation from the Holy Spirit, or he is a divining medium receiving revelation from a demon, called in Acts 16:16 ‘a spirit of divination.’ The Bible leaves us no other option.”47
Dixon’s powers to see into the future are documented by the fact that she accurately foretold that President Kennedy
48 would be assassinated in Dallas,49 quite a while before the event became a reality, even attempting to warn50 him before the trip was announced to the public. However, she flunked the Bible’s test of a true prophet of God when she predicted on May 7, 1968, that the Vietnam War would “end in ninety days.”51 We all know it lasted well into the 1970’s.

MICHEL DEE—WHAT DID HE SEE?

Nostradamus (1503-1566) is the Latin name of Michel de Notredame,
52 a French physician and astrologer who was a Jewish convert to Catholicism. This man is purported to have made many prophecies in his work, Centuries, completed in 1555. Was he a true prophet of God? Our question is answered by an inaccuracy in his predictions involving the Kennedy family. This puts him within the Bible’s definition of a false prophet, whom we may dismiss (Deut. 18:22), in light of the fact that he missed the one hundred percent mark!
Nostradamus is said to have written about Kennedy: “The great man falls by lightning in the day. An evil foretold by the postulate one...the ancient work will be accomplished from the roof, evil ruin shall fall on the great man, being dead they will accuse an innocent of the deed. The guilty one hidden in the misty woods...according to the forecast another falls in the hours of the night...the youngest son shall be slandered by a detractor when the enormous and martial deed shall be done the least part shall be doubtful to the eldest, soon after they shall be equal in government.”
53

SOME SAY MICHEL DEE SAW KENNEDY

In the Warner Brothers production, The Man Who Saw Tomorrow, a documentary on the prophecies of Nostradamus narrated by Orson Welles, the reportedly accepted interpretation runs something like this: The great man (JFK) is killed by lightning (rapid gunfire), foreseen by a postulator (Jeane Dixon), seemingly accomplished from the roof (sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository building), while an innocent (Oswald) is falsely accused, when in fact, the real killer was “hidden in the misty woods” (the grassy knoll
54 with its trees and bushes still wet, as it had been raining one-half hour before Kennedy’s motorcade passed).

***

The other one who falls by night is said to be his brother (Senator Robert Kennedy), who was assassinated at night. Finally, the movie infers that the youngest of the three sons Nostradamus described, was Ted Kennedy. This man would be slandered by a detractor (the Chapaquidick incident) and be “equal in government” (President) soon after the “eldest” (JFK).
Our point is that Ted Kennedy did not become President “soon after,” which confirms that this seemingly amazing prediction of Nostradamus’ is in error! We emphasize that no matter how small that mistake may be, it shows Mr. N. was wrong! Since God does not make mistakes in His prophecies, as the Bible confirms (Deut. 18:22), we know that Michel de Notredame’s predictions were not
55 of divine origin. The fact that his “prophecies” appear to be more accurate than sheer chance indicates that they lie most definitely within the dangerous realm of the occult. True believers need not fear Mr. N. because our Bible tells us so (Deut. 18:22).

THE HOPE OF THE SCRIPTURES FAR
EXCEEDS THE GLOOM OF MR. N.

The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments give us far greater hope than the famed Mr. N. ever could! The promises of the Messiah, who loves each one of us and who promises a new world soon to come (see our chapters 29-30), far outweigh a twentieth century presidency and assassination, wouldn’t you say? In other words, all those future prophecies of doom Nostradamus is said to have made will not happen the way he said, but the way our biblical Scriptures say—ending in our triumph with the Messiah Jesus’ victory over the evils of Armageddon, which Satan and his “angels of light” will attempt to perpetrate upon us. “...for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness....” (II Cor. 11:14-15 NASB).

AN INFAMOUS DELIRIOUS
NOSTRADAMUS CANNOT SAVE US!
YOU NEED NOT FEAR MR. N. OR MRS. D!

Mrs. D. and Mr. N. are looked upon as righteous prophets and
do-gooders by millions today, as we can see from the popularity of
their writings. We assure you that you need not fear Mrs. D.’s or Mr. N.’s prophecies of our end times because of their past mistakes. God, through Moses, wrote: “But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the
Lord hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him” (Deut. 18:20-22 KJV; bold mine).
We wish to point out that Nostradamus and his false demon-inspired prophecies have become a religion of sorts! Mr. N.’s prophecies are commonly compared or put on a par equal to the Bible’s, while modern interpreters enjoy best-seller lists the world over. Should Nostradamus be exposed according to biblical standards? Should the public be informed of what the Bible has to say about prophecies which do not always realize fulfillment? This author says absolutely yes!
Confronting the problem of Nostradamus’ immense popularity, Dava Sobel, in her Omni magazine article, “The Resurrection of Nostradamus, Tripping Through Time With the Man Who Saw Tomorrow,” points out: “Now...as the millennium draws nigh, Nostradamus virtually springs from the grave in a tidal wave of public appreciation. Japanese author Ben Goto reached the top of his country’s best-seller list in 1991 with Predictions of Nostradamus: Middle East Chapter....In France, England, and America, too, newly published books reexamine Nostradamus’s centuries-old prognostications as foreshadows of recent history....followers of Nostradamus conjure Armageddon and apocalypse with the mere mention of his name....A book of remarkable popularity, the Centuries has remained continuously in print for more than 400 years. I had no trouble finding a copy at the bookstore in my neighborhood, where I frequently have to order the books I want to read. No other prophet since Biblical times has held as constant a place in the hearts and minds of the populace as Nostradamus....Indeed, although the works of Nostradamus lack the spiritual guidance of the Bible...Nostradamus finds followers everywhere: People worry about the future. Even those who scoff at the book and try to dismiss it seem to contribute to its endurance.”
56

SOME THINK NOSTRADAMUS’ “POWER” IS
DIVINE—HOWEVER, HIS USE OF OCCULT
ARTIFACTS AND BOOKS PROVES OTHERWISE

Lee Roberts Amsterdam, the coeditor of The Complete Prophecies of Nostradamus, while speaking on Secrets of the Unknown, a worldwide television news production produced by Eric Nelson, said of Mr. N.’s prophetic abilities: “He would sit alone in his study at night....he had a brass tripod. He had a flame and he would concentrate and suddenly the divine power would enter him and he’d be able to make his predictions.” Nostradamus, known by some as the doctor who was unable to save his own wife and two children from the plague,57 referred to astrology as “celestial science.”58
Some believed his interest in magic and the occult
59 began during the time he spent in Avignon because the library there was filled with
books on the occult.
60 Mr. N. became something of a recluse as he began writing his “prophecies.” In Salon, France he changed the
attic
61 of his house into a study where he “worked...at night with his occult books,”62 and, by his own admission, “burnt a lot of them once he had finished with them.”63
Mr. N. quotes from De Mysteriis Egyptorum “line for line in his prophecies.”
64 He drew up horoscopes on “the seven Valois children.”65 Their lives all ended tragically.66 I myself have known people who, after having an astrological chart drawn on themselves, experienced unfathomable horror and tragedy67 before they died.
Mr. N. told Catherine de’ Medici “all of her children would be kings.”
68 However, one died as a child; thus his inaccuracy and error is historically documented for all to see. This, according to the Bible (Deut. 18:22), removes any credibility of divine inspiration as the source of his prophecy.

13 The word Lucifer is derived from the Latin words for “light bringing” or “morning star.”

14 Lucifer’s transformation was to sitra acara, which is Hebrew for “the other side” or “the evil side.” We could not help being reminded of the transformation of something good and cute into something hateful and ugly when we saw Steven Spielberg’s movie, Gremlins. It portrays this concept in a down-to-earth, understandable and comical way, though it does not directly relate. It sounds like Spielberg may have read Genesis, Ezekiel and Isaiah.

20 There have been entire “prehistoric” human skulls (i.e., Nebraska Man) built from a single tooth; however, scientists later discovered that the tooth belonged to an extinct pig. See our appendix 3, “Apes, Fakes and Mistakes,” where we systematically expose all of these prehistoric men for the frauds they are, with proven evidence which has often been suppressed!

21 Man alone was created for fellowship and worship of God, possessing above any other creature the ability to write and pass down knowledge from one generation to another—a must for receiving and transmitting the Bible, God’s written revelation of Himself and prophecy needed to guide us in worship. Animals may have limited intellect, but animals are set apart from us in relation to our worship of the Creator and the ability to receive and record revelation from generation to generation, which is a necessity for this worship.

22 What is God interested in buying back? The Hebrew Bible said: “From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in that day...you shall surely die (Gen. 2:17; bold mine). In Hebrew, the word for life is plural. God said in Genesis 2:7 that He breathed life (!yYI<ETH>j? tm3Ú4¢v]nI wy´yPÉ?a?y´B] jP3Ú4?YIy´w?) into man. In Hebrew, He said He breathed heim (“lives”) into man. Thus man, from the beginning, was created with a dual life—two kinds of life, physical and spiritual. Man lost his spiritual life in the garden when he failed God’s test. He disobeyed God for the first time by listening to the Satan-incarnated serpent (Gen. 2:17), which resulted in his spiritual death that very day! This death, which resulted in his expulsion from the garden (Gen. 3:23), later resulted in physical death: “...from it you were taken; For you are dust, And to dust you shall return” (Gen. 3:19 NASB). Likewise, once his spiritual life is restored through the acceptance of the ransom of the Messiah later (the Second Coming), his physical eternal life will be restored through resurrection, as Jesus and Daniel prophesied: “Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation” (John 5:28-29 KJV). “And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt” (Dan. 12:2 KJV).

24 This Scripture is the main theme in the design of our book cover. It is inlaid in the serpent’s tail.

25 This event occurred circa 4000 BC.

26 This verse indicates that one day a woman would bear a child (the Messiah), by which all of humanity, including Eve herself, would be saved (redeemed). The New Testament identifies this one as Jesus.

28 Many brilliant Bible scholars have commented that Eve, remembering God’s promised seed of Genesis 3:15, mistakenly thought her son Seth was the Messiah.

29 “The Talmud Sota, fol. 49, col. 2, speaks of ‘the heels of the Messiah’ (twbq[), i.e., of the time when the heel of the Messiah shall be bruised by the serpent, with reference to the troubles in the Messianic time.” Reverend B. 30 Rabbinically speaking, it has been said: “Adam....became negligent by eating from the Tree of Knowledge...who failed the test and ate of the aftergrowth, and thereby caused damage in all the worlds....almost this entire story occurs to every man individually....” Raphael Patai, The Messiah Texts, p. 106. 37 Ancient rabbinical teachings and commentaries agree with our view of original sin in the sense that it was handed down to us against the modern rabbinical stance that it was not. W.O.E. Oesterley and G.H. Box say: “According to Jewish teaching the ‘Fall’ was the transgression of one commandment, aggravated, however, by the absence of all repentance on the part of Adam; it was brought about by the subtilty of Satan—or the serpent, for the two are of course identical—because he was jealous of Adam, who had usurped the position formerly held by Satan....The Targums teach that death is one of the consequences of sin; this is expressed in one passsage, in the Jerusalem Targum to Genesis 36, by saying that at the moment in which Eve succumbed to temptation she saw Sammael the angel of death; as Satan is identical with Sammael, we must suppose that this passage is intended to teach that Satan revealed himself to Eve as the angel of death at the moment in which he overcame her....Further on in the same passsage, in the comment on Genesis 37, we read: ‘His (Adam’s) skin was a light garment, shining like his nails; when he sinned this lightness vanished, and he appeared naked.’ As illustrating a deeper realization of the essence of Sin we may refer to the Targum of Jonathan to Is. 6210, where it says that the imagination of sin is sin. While the existence of sin is presupposed before Adam fell, his sin was the means of death entering into the world, so that all generations to the end of time are subject to death (Tanchuma, Bereshith 8).” W.O.E. Oesterley, D.D. and G.H. Box, M.A., The Religion and Worship of the Synagogue, pp. 266-267.

38 Many rabbis say that the Old Testament does not teach of the existence of Satan in the same sense as the New Testament. If you are a Jew, ask your rabbi! See what he tells you! However, after you ask about the official Jewish view of Satan, remind him of I Chronicles 21:1 which says, “And Satan stood up against Israel....” (KJV). Also, Job 1:7, where it is written in the Jewish Bible that Satan came also among them. “And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it” (KJV). And if he tries to explain this away, ask him to read the iron-clad proof written in the ancient rabbinical commentary called Midrash wa Yosha’, chapter 1:55, which says: “ ‘In This World there are wars and sufferings and Evil Inclination and Satan and the Angel of Death, and they have permission to rule the World. But in the World to Come there will be no sufferings, no hatred, no Satan, no Angel of Death, no sighs, no enslavement, no Evil Inclination, as it is written, He will swallow up death forever, and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all (Isa. 25:8)’ (Midrash waYosha’, BhM 1:55).” Raphael Patai, The Messiah Texts, p. 261.

43 Zola Levitt, a precious Jewish Christian who is the author of over forty books on the Bible, noted of Mrs. D.: “A false prophet would be someone more like Jeane Dixon, the wizards and palm readers who haunt our avenues, or those who make up astrological forecasts for a fee. Again, we have always had false prophets, but the point may be fairly taken that our generation is seeing a great upsurge in this occult activity.” Zola Levitt, The Signs of the End. 48 Dixon pinpointed the trip to Dallas a few months before it occurred and also stated in a 1956 Parade magazine interview (May 13) that a Democrat would be elected President in 1960 and thereafter assassinated.

53 According to the documentary, The Man Who Saw Tomorrow (Warner Brothers), Nostradamus wrote this. I also read the equivalent in a recent English translation of Nostradamus’ work, Centuries, by Erika Cheetham.

54 While most press reports, the Warren Commission, and more recently, a 1993 book entitled Case Closed, insist that Oswald shot Kennedy from behind, C.A. Crenshaw, the doctor who attempted to save Kennedy in the emergency room, does not agree. In his book, Crenshaw, according to his expertise as a physician, admitted that the wounds were inflicted from the front. Thus Oswald’s exoneration and the true sniper’s nest, the misty woods (in the grassy knoll in front of JFK), predicted in this demonic prophecy over four centuries before, lines up with the doctor’s eyewitness testimony. Kennedy was shot from the wooded area behind the grassy knoll just in front of his car. Crenshaw wrote: “I have wanted to shout to the world that the wounds to Kennedy’s head and throat that I examined were caused by bullets that struck him from the front, not the back, as the public has been led to believe...” Charles A. Crenshaw, M.D., JFK: Conspiracy of Silence. New York: Signet, © 1992, p. 4. Bold mine. Spooky, huh? This verifies the Bible’s claim of malevolence within the supernatural, outside of divinely inspired biblical prophecy. There is no way Nostradamus, nearly five centuries ago, could have just “guessed” at such an incident, is there? Clearly, there was an evil Satanic intelligence guiding and giving him this secret information containing such a high degree of accuracy concerning the future. As to why Kennedy was shot, see our Vol. II, chapter 20, “Motives for Kennedy’s Demise and the Negative End of Politicians Who Mistreat Israel.” This chapter also contains documentation on God’s curse, as opposed to a blessing on past Presidents, based on the way they have treated Israel.

55 We recognize further falsehood in his “prophecy” and interpretation of Israel’s demise, which will not be! The Bible clearly foretells that Israel will never again be dispersed, once regathered (Amos 9:15), though it predicts some hardship before Jesus’ return (Zech. 14). However, the third century Quatrain 97, a prophecy said to be about Israel, predicts: “New law to occupy new land Around Syria, Judea and Palestine The great non-Christian empire will crumble Before the twentieth century is done.” J.H. Brennan, Nostradamus, Visions of the Future, p. 192. We also note that V.J. Hewitt and Peter Lorie indicate: “The prophecy states that...Egypt, Syria and Iraq form a circle around the country...cutting off her Mediterranean access....when Israel begins to lose the war—for, as Nostradamus states, her enemies are too strong. Between 1996 and 1998 Israel is devastated...overrun by Arab armies....This rather doomy prediction seems to suggest the end of the modern nation of Israel almost 1,900 years after the devastation it suffered at the hands of Rome.” V.J. Hewitt and Peter Lorie, Nostradamus, The End of the Millennium, Prophecies to 2001. New York: Simon and Schuster, © 1991, pp. 68, used by permission. The same book shows its anti-Christian colors when it infers concerning Rajneesh’s death in 1990: “...that it is admitted that Rajneesh was deliberately given a slow-acting poison as a result of pressure on the authorities by the fundamentalist Christians who objected to his teachings.” Ibid, p. 140. Rajneesh most probably died of AIDS, as symptoms indicated. Will persecution of Christians and Jews by the followers of Nostradamus ever stop? Only when Jesus returns.

If you are a true believer, we ask that you pray (make a note in your Bible prayer list) that the Lord expose Nostradamus for who he really is—pray that the Bible increase and Nostradamus’ books decrease, so that we will be blessed by moving away from astrology and false prophecy, as the Bible promises!

61 See our Vol. II, chapter 44, “What Really Went On in Nostradamus’ Attic? Was It Demonic?” To summarize a lengthy quote you will be reading in this chapter, we note that J.H. Brennan mentions: “...he was, in other words, attempting to make contact with the god and, in doing so, to prophesy. One wonders what would be the consequence of such an operation?....According to his own writings, as he completed the ritual a voice sounded which filled him with such terror that his arms trembled. Then, out of the darkness strode the splendid figure of a god, who took his seat upon the tripod stool....the weird little ceremony worked.” J.H. Brennan, Nostradamus: Visions of the Future, pp. 17-18.

63 Ibid. V.J. Hewitt and Peter Lorie also note: “...he gathered together all his papers, notes, books and documents—records of a lifetime of secret prophecy—and burned them to ashes. In the Preface to his prophecies, he writes that he offered them to Vulcan, the ancient Greek god who changed metals into weapons and tools. They burned with an extraordinary light, more brightly than might have been expected....Among the collection there were copies of centuries-old occult manuscripts and books....” V.J. 67 If by chance you have had a chart drawn and are presently experiencing tremendous misfortune, having perhaps unknowingly tampered with the occult, we suggest you do the only thing possible to prevent a future of horrors and reverse the trend. That is to accept Jesus and plead His blood over the horoscope, trusting the power of His sacrifice over the evil of astrology. Simply say now, “Lord Jesus, thank you for dying for me and raising from the dead. Come into my life; save me and give me your power to live life in a new way. Start your plan of truth for my life now. Thank you.” Once you say this, and mean it, you are forever free! You will be with us in the kingdom forever (Rom. 4:24).
